Default Stock Wheels

When I lift my JK I plan on using my stock wheels with spacers. My question is should I keep my stock 18 sahara's or go with some 17 moab's? Also what size spacer should I run?

A lot of people run 1 1/2 inch spacers, and as far as the wheels go its really up to you but you could sell the 18s and buy aftermarket 17s or stock 17s and it would save you a good bit of money on tires, especially in the long run

Agreed on going w/ 17s. Tires are cheaper and 1.5 in spydertrax worked great when I had them for almost 2 yrs.

The stock wheels have a 6.25" backspace, 1.5" spacers move you to 4.75". I went with Spidertrax 1.75" spacers so that I had 4.5" backspace.

Unless you find some cheap Moabs I would use the money on aftermarket wheels. You might even get a little money for your stocker to help finance new wheels. Plus you could got to 16" an save money on tires.

And Teraflex has a better option of a 1.25 inch spacer.

If you are wanting to save money, keep the stock 18's and pick up some 1.5" spacers. Yes, 18" tires are more expensive, but it will be cheaper than having to buy new wheels and tires, unless you go down to some cheap 15" steelies, which you may or may not like...

I would've cost me 1800 for tires for stock 18's cost 2000 for 5 17's and 4 trail grapplers (getting 5th later) sold stock 18's for 600. So all in all I saved 400 by getting new rims and tires

I run with my stock 18"s on Nitto's with spidertrax 1.5 spacers and like it a lot. Painted them black to go with the black paint, I actually like the plain 5 spoke wheel. Tires are a bit more expensive but if you're running close to a 35 go with 295/75r18, they are just a tad short of 35 but pretty cheap. Got 5 for 1400
