Default Stolen ProCal ...now what?

Well according to some folks a homeless guy was seen hanging around several cars... one was my Jeep. When I came out I found my wife did not lock her door... and the glove box was open.

Anyway my procal was stolen... along with all my instructions and such that were with it. a pocket knife, and a lighter.

Does anyone know if I bought another one if it would work on the jeep? Seeing that I already have settings in my computer for the unit that was stolen... now how do I get a new one to work with the old settings from the old unit?

If the procal units do not reset the stuff back to stock- and they get broken or stolen what do you do to adjust back to normal?

Call whoever makes the Pro Cal and tell um the story. Then call your insurance company. I don't know how in the world you're gonna "unprogram" your Jeep. Maybe Pro Cal will have the answer.

AEV is very helpful, I am sure there is a way.

Maybe another ProCal with default settings can set it back to stock?

Call and get Dave Yegge on the phone. Or Harrington for that matter. They're good people, they'll fix it -- might cost you, but it'll be fixable.

Wow never thought of this. Good luck and post your findings.. I always stored my procal in my JK also. Maybe it needs to come out. High idle isn't that important to me

Just find the guy cruising your streets with a modded shopping cart and kick the crap out of him.

My ProCal lives in my ARB Recovery Bag which is only in my Jeep on trail trips. No reason to carry it around otherwise.

I tried e-mail to AEV first but didn't get a responce... so I thought I'd try here... when I get the time I'll try giving them a call. I'll let you all know what I find out.

yeah- I keep it around to use the idle thing when I get a winch... never thought that anyone would think they could use it... I really doubt the guy had a jeep but maybe he thought he could pawn it?

That sucks
My understanding is that the ProCal cannot be used on another vehicle until it resets the first vehicle to stock, so what the guy stole is useless to anyone else.
Keep an eye on Craigslist, it may pop up there
