Default Storage container Tuffy v besttop

This may be in the wrong area, but it didn't seem to fit inany other area so if need be move it and maybe set up a new forum area for things like storage/ roof top tents/ etc.

Any thoughts on the tuffy under seat front locking box vs the best top ? the best top is 1/2 as much . but tuffy has been doin this along time . Money is an issue

If money is the only issue, buy the Bestop. Money is always an issue for me, but I chose the Tuffy to hold my Glock, wallet, phone, etc. while whitewater kayaking. It's a little larger and, IMO, more secure to hold my junk. I don't think twice when away from my Jeep with the Tuffy.

Tuffy, hands down. I spent a lot of time looking at the comparison posted by David (see link in Robar's post) and went with the Tuffy. It's built solid and very functional.

Ok folks I'm about to order the Tuffy box and weathertech liners; should I have any concern of the liners impeding operation of the Tuffy drawer opening?

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Tuffy is larger, so therefore it won when I compared both. Tuffy made the most of the limited space under drivers seat but their drawer isn't as large as I'd have ideally liked for gear I wanted to store in there. Hoping Tuffy make a passenger side drawer also soon.

I own the Tuffy and love it. Easy to install and seems very secure. Plus the pictures of the two side by side convinced me. The Tuffy is way bigger.

I don't have the storage container ,but there was just a thread on the weathertech liners and someone said the weathertech liners have a hole for the mat anchors to go through and water leaks through the hole onto the carpet. I have the Husky liners and there is no hole just an indentation for the anchor to go up into. No leaks. Hope this helps.

Hey, I didn't even know there was a Bestop underseat-lockbox! Saves me 50$.

They both look like they're the same to me. I can easily spend the 50$ elsewhere.

Thanks for the post

Ohh, and PS, They are the same size!

Uh, no they aren't. Perhaps you should look at the interior measurements in the side by side comparison David did (the link is in Robar's post above).
