OK, so I am trying to diagnose a noise that seems to be coming from the front end somewhere. The best way to describe the sound is something similar to having something scrapping your dust covers. That is definitely not it though. Couple of things, I recently made the switch to 10 w30 oil, could this be too heavy and causing the sound? Another thing I thought of was the brake pads, problem is thought, the sound is at its worse during acceleration. It is a sound like scrapping sheet metal. Any ideas???

 

Ive had this problem before. It was a rock stuck near my caliper. Theres this black thin metal part, the rock bent it and caused it to scrape when moving. dont know what this part it called but it just bent it back and the sound went away,
