Default Street Jeep checkin in!

Hey guys, I'm a newb here and just wanted to check in. I just got an 10 jku and haven't modded it much yet. Only mods I have done so far has been 22" boss wheels. Unfortunately even with what I thought was a large wheel, there is a huge gap in the wheel well. Where can I get a lowering kit to level the jeep out? Thanks and lets see some pics of some other street jeeps!!!

hey bud welcome to the forum. I am new to the jeep scene too. That is a nice lookin jeep you got. Just like JK Freak said if everyone liked the same stuff it would be a boring world. A suggestion would to be maybe get some bigger tires that would fill the wheel well gap problem you have. Doesnt have to be m/t tires but they do make em alittle thicker.

I believe Eibach makes some lowering springs. You can also trade out for lower rate springs.

Most of these guys here trade their low springs for higher rated springs.

I've got a set of low rate springs that might be perfect for you.

Here's my Jeep stock when i bought it.

And another pic after i put on the higher rated springs.

An last picture is of how it sits today.

jack it up
torch the springs until red hot

If you go on quadratec there's a lowering kit on there made by eibach Eibach Springs Q-16193JK - Eibach Pro Coil Spring Kit by Quadratec for 07-13 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec that's a 2" lowering kit

Just get tires to fill the wheel well or get even larger wheels. Folks don't tend to lower Wranglers so there isn't really a market for springs of that sort, but you can surely get some massive wheels.

The cheapest way would be to cut a coil or two off the springs

You can get some stock springs for free from people on this forum. Just cut them up. Their easy to swap out.

On another note: I sold my new Rubicon wheels and tires to this young lady, and she talked me into putting them on her Jeep for her. The Jeep was an 08JKU, 2 wheel drive. So if you see a 2 wheel drive Jeep with Rubicon wheels and tires, you know the story.
