so the next questions do or place the hinges or just paint em.. Those things s are so expensive but 3 out of the 8 on my doors are showing moderate to severe bubbling under the paint.
or do replace some but not all? does anyone know if the replacement once are exactly like the ome?

You could probably go to Napa and get replacement ones. Or order whole hinge sets from the stealership.

I would sand and repaint them. Or plastidip if you like the look. I think it's crazy to buy new hinges just to get the paint.

Default is in't just the paint

I think the metal is compromised underneath the paint. Thats why I am not sure what to do. If the metals oxidized that would make the pain t bubble right? there doesn't seem to be any air spaces under the paint that s why I think its the metal.

Strip the paint where you are suspect and take a look at it. My guess is maybe an impurity in the paint caused the bubble. Buying new hinges doesn't guarantee the new ones won't have impurities as well. If the hinge is falling apart, I would replace it. But if it's not, I would sand, clean, and repaint. I'm not saying that's what you should do, I'm just saying that's what I would do.

Strip the paint, remove the corrosion and prime with etching primer. Paint to match or bed liner the hinges and you're good to go.
