Heck if I am turned slightly even going through a tiny puddle in a parking lot my windshield is wet even.
How far do your tires stick ouf the fenders?....or do you even have fenders on the jeep? I have never had this happen and how does it even relate to having a stubby bumper? Mud tires will be mud tires. I've had my Toyos throw up rocks at my door hinges and my side armor on occasion, but that's about it.

x2 right, the only remote chance of this happening with a stubby would be in reverse, even then it doesn't make much if any sense that the front bumper would affect the amount of tire throw.

Guys seriously this is something fairly common offroad with mud tires and a stubby bumper. Even in light mud if you look at your rear fender wells; you get mud caked on yes on the front side of the rear tire as well. Mud and stones dont just auto release the second they no longer make contact with the ground. Very often mud/stones/small rocks get tossed up and forward as they release from the tread. This really is pretty normal. With a stubby there is nothing there to stop it from going up and forward then you basically driving into it with your windshield. Even a slight overhang with say many mid width bumpers out there will prevent most of this.

The bumper itself doesnt affect the tire throw it just either blocks or doesnt block what is being thrown off the front tires forward. Dont believe that still go take your stock bumper and drive through light mud and see if you get any mud caked on the inside of your front stock bumper. There will be lots of it. Where do you think that goes if you remove the bumper that is blocking it? Up, then forward, then you drive into it with your windshield.

No offense but I would call that a mid width bumper not a stubby as it extends past the edge of the front grill. Also of a side note stock fenders or ones not trimmed along the front also help to avoid this issue.

Here is a pic of my setup and there is some issue with tossing mud/rocks up if I am moving at any kind of speed. It is much worse if you are turning for me anyway. Click image for larger version
