Default Mud Kings

BFGoodrich makes a generic brand (Medalist) mud tire that has holes for studs. Search ebay for Medalist Mud King tires. You can get 35"s for $150 apiece, not sure about 37"s though. I have them on my truck and I like them so far, they seem to be up to BFGoodrich standards. I dont have studs in them, but I live in Alaska and they do pretty good on snow and ice for a mud tire. I know they arent exactly what you are looking for, but for a 150 bucks a tire you cant go wrong

OK, this is getting ridiculous.

I emailed HANKOOK. They told me the RT03 37x12.50x17 is NOT studable.

I call my local dealer and they tell me its NOT studable.

I call Discount Tire they tell me it IS studable and they are looking at them.

I dont want to order $1200 of tires to find out they are not.

YEEEEHAAAAA. My Hankook tires showed up today. They can be studded. The local tire shop couldnt believe it. I was right all along. I now have a set of 37x12.50x17 studded and sipped snow tires for next year. Now I just need to order some steel wheels.

Most studded tires only go up to 35s. You might be right about yours, but I sort of doubt it. Im not sure, though. My local Big O and Les Schwab have been looking for studded 37s for over a year for the local 4x4 shop and never found any. Ill look into it. It would be nice to have another choice. The Hankooks look nice. They would be tough to beat.

edit: I did a little searching and couldnt even find a 37" Mastercraft let alone a 37x12.50x17. It looks like the biggest Mastercraft is a 35".

Why do you want studded snow tires in Montana anyway?
