I like drive with a Bikini top when I drive without doors as it eliminates the swirling air from over the windshield. I have a Bestop Trektop NX and just take the windows off with the doors. I got mine new but you could probably find something lightly used.

For cheap bumpers and mods, your local classifieds are the best.

I'm topless MOST of the time. Here in DFW you'll be doing yourself a favor buying a spiderweb shade or the likes. I can drive to work in suit and tie in 100 degree weather and something cutting a bit of that sun down makes all the difference in the world. I just moved from a Dirty Dog to a Spiderweb. The Dirty Dog gave me an extra inch or so coverage on either side whereas the Spiderweb has a larger gap between the shade and rollbar, but I kinda like the Spiderweb better. Realize you have a 2ddr, but would think it the same applies.

I know not everyone would like this BUT I just picked up a Badlands 12000 LB winch from Harbor Freight for like $200 brand new.

A cheap winch will help recover you better than no winch! Just be sure to observe safety precautions with a steel cable.

My student son put this same winch on his big truck. Other than being non-US made, it checks all the boxes and performs very well. 👍

I'm a student and I would have to say it just takes time and saving. I went from a stock JK to just adding mods that I wanted when I had enough saved up.

I agree with you, I also have a cheap winch, but at the same time quite good

I am wondering if you need the alignment or even a check. The front tires always wear like that unless the difference between inner and outer tread was really noticeable. If the wear on each tire is the same then the previous owner probably did not rotate them enough or at all so would assume alignment is ok. Get someone knowledgeable to follow you down the road and observe if the vehicle is crabbing left or right.

Smitty winches come on sale usually every spring so a new 9000lb one is usually an easy buy $$ wise. I use wire rope and lube it about 3 times a year. Never had issues right from 1976 when I started. But if you must have synthetic then buy it with the winch package as it is way less expensive.
Tires are your most important consideration which you are addressing. Welcome to the hobby.
