Default Sub problem

So I installed two 10 inch kicker subs in a slim box in the back of my 2 door and I noticed that my hard top has started to chip I believe it’s because of the subs anyone got any idea on how to prevent this issue I already had to add a black coat and a clear coat on the areas that chipped?

Can we get some more details, pics maybe? I run a moderate system in my JKU with no issues that I've noticed other than the spots I've nicked or dropped the top handling it...?

Your hard top has been repainted if a sub woofer is causing paint to chip off. Trust me, I have two 12inch subs in the rear of my JKU, each powered by a 1500 Watt amp where when the bass hits, the air pressure will blow my hair when sitting in the driver's seat. I haven't seen my hard top lose any paint in the 10 years it's been installed but I also know my hard top has never been repaired or repainted.
