Default Super 30 Kit for JK-

I posted this in another thread, but thought I would start a new one for more discussion. What if...you took a 30 spline Dana 30 ARB from a TJ "Super 30" kit and paired that with some stock JK Rubicon shafts (I think those are 30 spline inner)? You would basically have a factory/hybrid "Super 30" kit for a JK. Any thoughts on this idea?

Superior said they were working on Super 30 axles for the Dana 30hp. I just hope they make a full floater rear axle conversion like for the TJ with 33 spline chromo axles.

Rubi axles are 32 spline inner and outer. (definately the rear are)

I am trying this today or whenever the parts show up, I'll post up my results. You can buy stock JK Rubi shafts and seals from the dealer for about $375, I have all the part numbers if you need. The side gears from ARB to covert from 27 spline to 30 spline are about $120, or you can just order the locker that way.

You're confusing me.

Rubi axles are 32 spline innner and outer. JK D30 are 27 spline inner and 32 spline outer. Hope that helps the confusion.

Not trying to confuse you but I was under the impression that rubi fronts were also 32 spline like the rear. The outers are definately 32 spline. Apparently the inners are 30 spline. Your idea is good but you would need new bearings and races to go with the fatter axles. Would it really be worth the upgrade for a stock non chromo axle??

Nope, the front's are just a 30 spline.

There aren't any inner axle bearings. The inner shaft is held in place by the carrier bearings. All JKs have 32 spline outers. Hopefully GOAT1 will let us know soon.
