super loud driveline hum
I used the seach function but didn't really find much. My jeep is at a shop to be looked at tomorrow but I was wondering if anyone else has had this.
My 4 door is an auto with 3" zone lift and 5:13 gears. Had a slight hum when the gears were first done but now its really bad. Un-bareable. It happens over 45 mph and only when you are on the gas. You lift the gas petal and its only tire hum. There's at least 20K on the gears.
I'm sure they will run it on the hoist and hopefully find the problem.
Theres only 50,000 miles on it. Stock driveshafts.

well, it COULD be a number of things. But if we are taking bets, mine's the driveshaft and/or the joints on either end. Bad news - you have to buy a new shaft. The good news - it's a easy fix.

If they were slightly humming from the get go then the gears were more than likely were not installed properly which would explain the reason they went out so quick.
