Default Supercharger Wiring Issue

I just installed a supercharger on my 2011 and when complete the fuel control module light was not on and the engine would not fire. Long story short the wiring harness to the ECU supplied by RIPP was not wire properly. Repaired the wiring harness and still no light or ignition. Removed the harness and hooked the factory wiring back into the ECU. The engine will crank but will not fire. Visually checked and ohmed the fuses with no issues found. Any thought as to what may be the problem? I am guessing ECU or TIPM.

A bit off topic, have you talk to RIPP about the problem, if you have what did they about your issues. I am asking because i am thinking about putting a RIPP in my 2011.

Yes, I have talked to them several times. There is really nothing they can do from up there. I am in the process of ripping everything off and putting it back stock.

Sorry to hear that man. Keep us informed as to how you get things fixed. My SC should be at my house any day so I like to keep my eyes on threads like this.

I know in the original GEN 1 you had to splice into the wiring harness. IDK if such is the case here but if so, I would be 100% sure you are tapping into the right wires.
The problem was not the end user install! The wiring harnes supplied by RIPP was not wired properly thus there were several wires that were crossed. Damage has been done to some of the systems or else it would run when you put it back to stock.

Regrettably it was human error on our side - and we apologize mostly for ruining your experience and of course for the problem. We never take any client for granted and do our best to put together great products and service. This being a new program... bit us a bit.

There is really very little the end user can do to make this an issue, its a plug and play harness - We didn't see it, but the end user seems very capable and was able to spot the problem using the supplied wiring diagram.

We've offered to cover his expenses to make it less painful - he will be in touch as it progress'.

Yes - we have already begun QC'ing the piggy back harness' and there is a full jig in place for when the new harness' come to avoid this type of issue.

We apologize immensely and hope it works out smoothly.

RIPP has done all they can do at this point. All I am trying to figure out is if there is a way to determine if the ECU is bad without having to take the vehicle to the dealership. There is not a decent dealership anywhere in this area so I would have to take it all the way to Dallas, a 2.5 hour drive.

Wow, sorry to hear about your difficulties. RIPP will take good care of you I'm sure.

On the positive side, my 2011 kit installed without a hitch and it's running great. After the holidays I'm getting it re-geared with 5.13's. Let us know how things go.

Everything from the supercharger was removed and put back to stock except for the fuel line tee which was plugged off where it went to the auxiliary fuel injectors. The gasoline was cleared out of the cylinders when replacing the spark plugs so tried to start the engine.
Tried cranking the motor numerous times yesterday and this morning with no success. Each time it tried to start but acted as though it was only hitting on several cylinders. Very rough and hard detonations sounded like the engine would be damaged. Finally got the fuel line fitting and removed the tee that went to the auxiliary fuel injectors. After replacement of the fuel line the motor stated right up a little rough at first but lined right out.
The map sensor, fuel control module, wiring harness and fuel injectors are in transit back to RIPP where they will be tested and replaced as necessary. So hopefully when a new harness arrives the unit can be installed with no issues. RIPP has been good to their word and taken care of everything.

That is good to hear that RIPP is taking such good care of this situation. I am still very interested in this kit for the 2011 and it's nice to hear that their customer service hasn't changed.
