i have a new jk and was wondering who is using a superchip programmer and what type of performance enhancements it has provided, because i am thinking of getting the programmer and wondering if it's worth the investment.

do a search for superchips using the advanced search feature. Set it so you are only searching titles of threads only though. The regular search function yields way to many results. Personally, I like mine and coudn't do without it but you can decide for yourself as there are very mixed feeling on it.

Using the "87 Performance Tune", it gave my automatic JK running 35s more get-up-and-go than when it had with stock with 32s. It seems to have done that by changing at which RPMs the automatic transmission shifts, though. Not sure how peppier it makes standard transmissions feel.

There are tons of posts on this subject and lots of people happy with their performance improvements, auto and manual transmissions alike. Best of all, the different tunes can be changed pretty quickly for on/off road ventures.
