Default Superchip fix for temp gauge?

AS you probably know, Jeep programmed the temp gauge to always show straight up / normal, unless it was cold or already overheating (dealer told me this was to make owners think it was always running perfect and to prevent too many calls to the service dept.). Scott from Superchips is willing to look into a fix if there is enough interest.

If you are also bothered by not having a real readout, please post here. If there are others besides me, there could be a solution.

Can they also correct the problem of the gauges locking up while in 4-low?

It seems my gauges never move while in that range.

Default Yes!!!

I'd be interested in hearing more... Even a new seperate gauge mounted elsewhere would be nice. Can he do oil pressuer gauges as well?

Get an Aeroforce gauge. Displays just about any parameter you could want - except oil pressure. No pressure sensor on the JK.

Concur! Great product and not that expensive given what the whole host of gauges would cost.

This fix would not add any gauges, just make the ones we have work properly.

A functional water temp gauge would be nice providing the observer would not panic to see it routinely swing up and down between 185* & 215*.

Default Water temp, oil temp, oil pressure

2007 Rubi Unlimited, 42k miles...ScanGauge reads water temp, my range is 194 to 216 depending on situation...fan comes on between 204 and 207...jeep gauge never moves but 1/2 needle below and above middle...200 seems to be middle, installed oil pressure and temp with an oil filter sandwich, works great, gauge is between two center air ducts...jeep should never be without temp and oil pressure readings...

Exactly the reason it would be nice to know what's really going on.
