The idle thing is more for static winching and welding. Something to get the alternator spinning a bit faster.

Do any of you have the "87 Performance" setting that shows in the book but not on my Flashpaq? And before I bought it, I had read about how great the shifting was and that you can change the shift firmness and shift points. Is your shifting better just by using one of the settings?

The 87 Performance is in the Advanced Tuning section. It automatically adjusts the shifting for you. Can you imagine how bad someone could screw up the transmission by being able to set the opoin themselves? And yes my shifting is amazingly better using the 87 Octane settings. BTW It really does want 87/88 octane gas in the tank with it.

Have you noticed increased mpg with this? If so with what octane fuel?

Easy to say for the guy that just steps on the go pedal to roll.

I have used the idle setting with the Flashpaq plugged in around town and it was great to get a few extra rpms and not need to feather the throttle as much rolling out. The same is going to be available for my Hemi Ram, where I and others have an under drive damper installed. Spins the accessories a little less, although currently I'm a little fearful of getting caught in a traffic jam on a 90+ degree day with the AC on.

Someone else with a manual transmission did the same with an idle bump and had the same impressions as I.

I understand what their intent was, but it sure would be great to have it for every day use instead of being locked in at 800 rpm.
