Default superchip questiom

checking on info for 91 octane tune. Can I run 89 octane on 91 octane tune, that's as close as it gets around here. Just don't want to mess anything up. Thanks

No I wouldn't try it. I have mine on tow mode running 87 and works great. The extra torque helps spin my 37's.

you can only run a minimun of 91 octane. if you use 87 for a long period of time you risk messing your motor all up and im pretty sure a warrenty wouldnt cover that

I also found that the tow tune with 87 octane was the best for both power feel and mileage.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought the towing package required the 91 octane.

thanks for all the replys. I beening trying different tunes for the last two weeks and wanted to try the next stage up 91 octane. But don't have it Austins fuel mid grade is 89. We'll thats sucks but thats anyways.

I don't think any of the tunes actually requires a certain octane. I have seen so many opinions on all the tunes on here that I tried them all and settled on the Tow with 87 as the best performance for the money.

Only run 91 in my streetbike and my dirtbike, only because they have like 3 gallon tanks. 18 gallons is alot of money for super plus
