Superchip Settings w/ Auto?
I plan on "re" tuning the JK again this weekend. Been emailing Scott a few times and he also said to try playing with the Rev limiter for some possible added performance. Was wondering what settings some of you are using as well? What differences have you noticed? I know it's running better. It takes off faster and gets up to 60 a lot faster with far less throttle. I also know that the auto doesn't have to downshift as much now on some of the hilly areas that it used to. My 07' is pretty much stock other than the Airaid CAI and 33s". I wasn't able to update my tuner because of computer problems, but it worked just fine when I plugged her in the first time. So I'm also wondering what tunes are available for you now possibly because of your update that I may not have. I'm just wanting to know for sure I'm getting all I can out of this little jewel....
Thanks.....
Thanks.....
Not sure what wouldn't be there, but I did mess around with the towing tune this morning (as someone else suggested in another thread) and was pretty stoked about it.
I didn't have any additional weight in the vehicle and no real reason to use the tow setting, but it did produce a bit of a lower pitched rumble and definitely some added lower end torque. Things seemed to fall pretty sharply over 3000 rpm, but that would pretty much suit the way I drive. The idle also dropped from it's normal 800 rpm to around 500-550 rpm but it didn't seem like I needed to feather the throttle or clutch as much to get it rolling.
I forget who posted their results with the towing tune but I have to say thanks to them and it wasn't even on my short list of things I hadn't tried.
I'm sure with the tow setting there is going to be a price to pay in economy so I'll need to keep an eye on it. Also, I'm sure there is probably some sort of recommended use parameters and as cool as it was it's probably not something to run every day.

Thanks for the reply. See....that's just it, either I just don't remember seeing the towing tune, or it just wasn't there. I'm sure that is in the "advanced settings" no? I'll look for it. I can't imagine how it would be with the towing tune and then driving around out of overdive all the time.....thing would probably snap your neck
........just kidding of course, coming from a guy that drove plenty of muscle cars.....lol.
Thanks.....
