Default Superchip setup advice

I have an 2010 automatic 4 dr JK with 3.73 gears. I just put on 315 70R17 tires. Do you all have any suggestions on SC setup for a balance of performance with decent mileage? I am currently using the 91 tune and tire size is programmed. I have messed with the transmission settings.

Also, I have my tire size set but cant get the TPMS below 26. I must be missing something..... can anyone help./ I am planning a gear change in the future but I have to wait for more $$$.

So far, I cant tell much difference between the 87 and 91 octane tunes except for decreased gas mileage with the 91.

Thanks for the help!

I had the same issue with the TPMS. you need to plug your programmer back up to your PC, then do the easy update. Pick the other TPMS feature... the one that says "enable". I did the same thing. It is confusing. The add on you loaded was only to CHANGE TPMS, the other one disables it.

The 87 tune/gas performs better for me than the 91 tune/gas also. Definitely not worth the extra money for the 91. Others have reported better performance with it, not sure what is different with my setup vs theirs. Auto, 4door, 5.13, 35's, or maybe the altitude here? Who knows...

I used the 87 tune to start. Then switched to 93 tune with 93 fuel. I couldnt tell any difference I am on the second or third tank of 93. I think the different tunes either advance or retard the timing. It would seem to me that an increase in compression would be needed to get any noticeable affect from 93 octance fuel and a 93 tune. Since the programmer cannot increase compression, save the $1.50 or so per tank and buy something else. Just my 2 cents.

The power gains with higher octane come from more and earlier in the RPM range spark advance. It takes a while for the ECU to relearn the fuel trims and take advantage of the timing changes. You can get around that somewhat by removing the battery connection after you re-flash for an hour or so and the ECU will reset and go into learn mode again.

Out of all the settings, I get the most power AND mileage from the tow tune. Sounds weird but true.

That is the reason I am picking up one of these. Looking to get more mpg's. A buddy of mine runs the tow mode and is very happy with it.

I was happy with both the Tow tune and the 91 tune.

So you run the tow tune all the time? I haven't heard that, but may give it a try.
