I saw that option when I just downloaded an update. It isn't needed unless you want a tuner for the motor.

It gives you performance tuning, (and possibly a bit better mpg's), in addition to the programming you already have. Go to their website and pull up the flashpaq to read about the different tunes. And you can search and read through a few dozen threads here for opinions on whether the added performance might be worth it to you.

Same here, just put 35's on mine and had to set for 34's.

I find it crazy in the superchips manual they don't tell people how to properly measure their tires..

I've had the traildash for about 2 years and it is cool I like it.. but I hate company.. I have found a few bugs in the device and I've e-mailed them 5 times to no response and tried to call 3 times with no answer. I wasn't contacting them to complain at all.. In fact I just wanted to say hey you have some bugs you might want to fix here are the steps to reproduce to help you out and make a better product.

Also it drives me nuts when they send out updates they don't tell you what is updating.. I just don't get it because they have what could be a good product if they only put a little more effort on their documentation and website support.

The site doesn't tell you anything..

Your best bet is to read through a few of the Flashpaq threads (there are a lot of them, some of which are 20 or 50 pages long) and find some reviews from people with your engine/transmission/gears/lift/tires, who live in similar locations, who have a similar driving style, etc. The opinions vary quite a bit.

For my 3.8 4door auto with a 4" lift, 35's, 5.13 & 5.38, I couldn't really 'feel' any difference after trying several different Flashpaq tunes. Though I did notice that the Tow tune would keep me in OD longer before downshifting on the freeway, and I got a slight mpg increase. Many people report a night and day difference in power, just wasn't my experience. I ended up selling the flashpaq and keeping the ProCal.

Recently went up to 37's and wanted to try tuning again, so picked up a DiabloSport. (chose it over another flashpaq simply because I am considering a s/c). With this one, I can definitely 'feel' a difference in the power and performance. I can't say if there are any actual differences in the tunes between the two, or if it was just the bigger performance loss from the new tire size.
