Superchips will work with a CAI no problem. The settings depend on what you want. The Economy tune improves gas mileage, but only marginally improves performance. Lots of folks run the 91 tune, which is a nice balance between performance and economy. I've been running the Tow tune the last few weeks and like it even when I'm not towing.

The best thing to do is to start with one and then switch around until you find what you're looking for. It only takes a few minutes to program.

I have mine set at the 91 Octane tune along with an S&B intake & aftermarket exhaust....Love the performance...

How is the tow mode working out for you? does it make your JK run at a higher RPM? Curious, might try that setting as well...

I love the tow setting. I do find that it seems to burn a little more fuel on the hwy but around town it is about the same. Nice performance though.

I think the superchip will be top of my list as soon as it supports 2010 models. Everything I've read about it is great and I plan on doing some mods soon so this will be helpful at reprogramming my Jeep once I'm done. Hopefully the 2010's will be supported soon.

i have mine on the 87 setting and its ok but as soon as i run through this tank i will be switching it to the 91 setting to try that.

Does anyone know if i really do have to run all the way out of 87 before i put in 91 and re-tune to the 91 setting?

I switched mine from the 87 to 91 setting mid-tank and didn't notice any problems. Of course, I didn't notice any gains in power either until I filled up with 91 octane.

Recieved one around Christmas and have ran a tank at 87 & 93 Octane/Tune- both are a huge improvement from stock but really couldn't tell the difference in MPG or performance. Switched back to the 87 tune for the cheaper gas after setting it on the crawler tune.

Looking to get better fuel economy. what settings are available and what types of mpg gains would i expect. also what type of power loss at those settings would i expect. how about the opposite? how much more power/less MPG's?

I have been running 93 Octane/Setting and have noticed no improvement over 87 setting. Switching back to 87 after this tank.
