Default Superchips?

I just got my first Jeep. An 08 Rubicon Unlimited with Fabtech 5 inch lift on 37s. I just instilled a superchips and AEM intake. For the people who has the superchips in their jeep. What setting are you run on the superchips to get better MPG or what setting should I run to get the best performance and MPG?

Thanks

Tran

I would use 87 octane. There are people running 93 octane but I personally would stay away from it due to the heat from the gas igniting and the rings are made for 87 octane. I use 87 octane and I am very happy with it. Just my

Are you running 87 octane gas with 87 octane tune? How is your MPG?

Yes I am running 87 octane. The milage with stock 4.10's and an auto is about 15-16 on the highway. Are you running stock gears? If so You might want to think about regearing with those 37's. I know I am and I'm on 35's. Oh are you an atuo or stick?

It is an auto. I have 5.38 gears and right now my MPG is 13.3 in the city with 91 octane tune and 91 tune. I have not done a lot of freeway driving but I hoping to see 16 or 17 MPG on the freeway at 65-70 MPH.

all the setting are better than stock
Not a good idea to drop the fan settings below 215 degrees, unless you change to a lower temperature thermostat. Without doing so you can and probably will throw codes, such as an open fan relay. As a rule of thumb your fan on temperature should be 20 degrees above your thermostat temperature. This is primarily because your fan off temperature is about 20 degree cooler than the fan on temperature.

Personally, I run a 180 degree thermostat in the summer, and swap it in when the hard top goes into summer storage. I check the thermostat on the stove in a pot of water to make sure it opens at the temperature setting as it should (making sure the wife is away as cooking auto parts is strictly verboten in my household) and then install it and shelve the one removed.

With the warmer weather I'm still reaching proper operating temperature, I'm just beginning the cooling process earlier.
