Default Superchips 6-speed low speed notchy throttle

For those guys with the manual tranny and that have been dealing with the low speed "notchy" throttle issue. Don't give up hope, Superchips is getting it dialed in and will hopefully have a release soon. Everything is still in Beta testing form with just a few of us running the new tunes., but so far the results have been extremely positive.

In my case, the light throttle applications have been drastically improved with no noticable loss of performance that I can feel on the other end. i have no idea what kind of time schedule they are working on for an official release, but I just wanted to let everyone know that it is definitely being adressed and everything should be sorted out soon.

How has curing the lurch affected the throttle response in normal driving conditions?

I haven't felt any adverse effects. The Beta tune allows for 3 different throttle settings listed as

Superchips
Moderate
Stock

So far I only have about 60 miles (one morning commute) on the moderate tune, but it feels to me that the only thing effected is maybe the first 1-2" of pedal travel. Now there is a nice smooth transition from ON to OFF throttle, and then the rest of the throttle feels just as responsive as it always has. I don't think it has so much to do with throttle response as it is more of throttle smoothness. It is now much easier to feather the throttle on and off at speeds under 30mph in the lower gears.

I still have a lot of testing I want to do this week swapping between the different tunes, but I just wanted to let everyone know that it is being looked into and the outcome looks very favorable.

Same here.......my biggest problem areas were rolling through my neighborhood at ~15-20mph and crawling along in bumper to bump traffic on the 695 beltway around Baltimore.

I'm interested to see what you think of the different tunes. I think it feels great so far. It still has all of the grunt when you get into the pedal, but the tip in is a much smoother transition.

do we have to test the higher tunes??? my pocket does not like to splurge for 93..

FWIW i have found with low speed crawling in traffic situations, what helps now is using a higher gear. like i might be crawling at zero throttle in 3rd at 10-15mph.. the jeep wont stall with zero throttle in any gear.

This is what I have been doing now is staying in a higher gear to avoid the whiplash! I find 1st & 2nd gear are mega whiplash..very touchy throttle. 1st can be a pain 4wheeling.

Nope, just the option itself in the different modes. We just need to make sure it is 100% so we can release to the general public.

They didn't ask me to do anything specific other than to try out the 3 different pedal settings and get back to them with my thoughts. I'm personaly only messing around with the 87 tune. I have no plans to ever run anything different on the street.

I would like to try and mess around with the 3 throttle settings and the crawl tune while in 4-low also, but I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to pull that off in a timely manner. We'll see, maybe I can find a corn field to play around in this weekend
