Lewis,

I have talked to several people who have the Superchips FlashCal and they say it works great. I have heard it does everything that they advertise it does such as:

Corrects speedometer for tire upgrades between 22.5” - 44.25”
Speedometer recalibration for gear /axle swaps up to 5.38
Transfer case Hi and Lo locking options
ESP stability optimization
Engine idle adjustability for winching
Street legal TPMS adjustability (Off-Road options available for download)

I have heard of an issue that Superchips is working on fixing where the 2013 manual transmission models wouldn't work for tire size and gearing. Other than that I have heard nothing but positive review for it.

Feel free to shoot me a PM if you have any other questions!

-Zach

I didn't think that it was necessary to make tire and/or gearing size changes with a manual transmission. The automatic needs the information to be stored as parameters or the computer won't shift the transmission correctly. Since the manual transmission is not shifted by a computer, does it need this feature? Maybe for the ESP/ABS to work correctly?

The manual only needs the tire diameter for speedo calibration.

Not really comparable to compare a pre 2012 to a 2013.

Default Superchips Flashcal

Hi, I am new here. Have a 2011 Sahara, just put on 17 Method Fat Five, Good Year Wrangler MT/R 305/70/17, and a 4" Zone lift. It rides great. The problem I am having is the tire pressure setting. The idiot light comes on the dash and stays on for the tire pressure. I re-used the stock sensors on the new rims, They did not get damaged in changing over. I set it the PSI in the tires at 30 and set the Flashcal at 30. The idiot light still came on. I called Superchips, and the dude said for now (that was two days ago) to set it back to stock and see what happens. Set all five tires back to 35psi and programmed back to stock psi. For two days (it's today 4-24 now) the idiot light DID NOT come on. About three - four hours ago I down loaded from Superchips web site the free updated verision of removing it from the system. The download worked. I then went to the Jeep and programed the psi to 25psi (it goes down to 10), the idiot light came on. I then let the tire psi down to 30. Perhaps I should have let the tire psi down first? Anyway, I am not a happy camper. The tire size adjustment seems to work fine, I am having diffirculting with the TPMS stuff. I will call Superchips tomorrow. I paid $159 and I feel I should be having the TPMS issues....Perhaps it's me????

Drive it after you reset the tire pressures.

I did drive it around the neighborhood. Within 5 - 10 seconds the idiot light makes one sound and then blinks for 15 - 20 seconds then stops blinking and stays on, just what the Jeep owners manual says it will do. In about 30 minutes I'll drive it to work and see what happens again? I can only think it'll do the same.
