Was hoping someone could help explain the error message "not original vehicle". I've been the only owner of this jeep and the tuner. Super chips is closed and I won't be able to get a hold of them until monday. I am trying to remove the 87 octane tune I put on it last year so I can tow a trailer Sunday without my auto transmission dropping from 5th to 3rd gear like it did last time on my 3hr drive making me want to blow my brains out. I understand "not original vehicle" is telling me that it thinks its a different car, but any idea why or how to reset.

I did have to have my stereo changed out at the dealer a few months ago, unknown if they re flashed the computer. When I plug The tuner in it does tell me the jeep has the 87 ocatane tune current installed on it. Thanks in advance

 

Did you have it at the dealer with the tune installed? If you did and they plugged in their scan tool you may be locked out.

 

I did, forgot to uninstall it. Does that me I am pretty much SOL
