Ouch! I needed those powers in grade school as there were a few of teachers I wanted to pull some voodoo stuff on.
Anyway, G-6F is a database error so I would try your download again. If you are doing it from a wireless network I would try plugging in via ethernet. Remove any other USB devices, make sure your download isn't interrupted by screen or power savers and don't have any other applications running. It's a bit of a pain, but the only times I have had problems with an update is when I didn't babysit it.
I hope that helps and I really didn't put any bad mojo on that post.

Gang, I got the dreaded G-6F DB error yesterday, but it wasn't from a download. The unit was connected to the ECM. I was going into ECM programming at the time to return it to stock (taking it to the dealer). The error appeared and the unit locked. When I connected it to the PC the update software found it, verified that the Flashpaq software was up to date and even let me add TPMS & Data Acquisition; however, as soon as the Superchips program closed the DB G6-F error reappeared.
Of course, this happened on the weekend when Superchips is closed. There wasn't much I could do since they were closed, so I continued to plug it into my PC and remove it several times throughout the day. I'm not sure why, but the last time I connected the unit to the PC the update program decided my software was out of date and installed a new version (actually the same one I had). A re-download definitely fixes the issue. It sure would be nice if we could force a download instead of having to call them to trigger it. I bet they get a ton of calls on this subject.

Really...??? Guess it's time for me to do mine too as it's been months since I updated....
Also, as far as I understand there isn't anyone that bricked their JK, just couldn't perform an update. Definitely sucks to have that happen on the weekend.
OK, Got a note from Ron and the G-6F error is not having the key turned fully to the RUN position. This would cause a DB timeout and should be easily remedied.
If the problem persists, call Superchips with the Tuner and Jeep in hand, or so to speak.

My impressions :
1) For auto-transmissions, you'll probably see slightly more mpgs because the shift-points get re-adjusted to lower RPMS.
2) For manual transmission, i don't see any difference by "allegedly" running leaner. Unless you have an exhaust gas temp gauge (like in piston - engine aircraft where you have to adjust your fuel-air mixture by altitude ), you can't tell if you're actually running leaner.
3) If the MPGs were really true and its purely software, Chrysler would jump at the chance to sell their jeeps stating 19 City, 24 Highway. They aren't doing that not because they're lazy but because this is snake oil.
Experience :
I have run this for the week on my 2007 6 Spd Rubicon and while the MPG gauge was claiming 24 mpg on the highway, the math worked out to the usual 20. Obviously its much easier to fudge the dash numbers than produce real performance or economy gains.
If anyone has put this on a DYNO and to an exhaust gas temp gauge, i'd like to see the data.
Humbly my $0.02

I'm sorry if I'm getting your comments wrong, but let me double-check what you are saying here. Are you saying or implying that SuperChips plays with the MPG program such that they cause it to register better gas mileage than actual in an attempt to make the end-user believe they are getting better gas mileage when in fact they are not? Or, again, did I read this wrong?
