Tow mode basically full time and works dandy with 87 Octane fuel. I really have not noticed a difference between 87 and Tow mode...maybe different with a Auto though! Crawl tune is well worth it off-roading!

Does anyone know if the "TOW" has any effect on a manual? I always thought that it did not...that it was just moving the shift points higher on an automatic, which would be our L-foot and R-hand for those with sticks. Let us know....if anyone has different info.

I'm using the 89 right now because of the price of gas. I'm getting about 15 mpg. Tow tune and 91 tune i noticed more pickup in the higher rpms. 93 tune was a little over the 91. Not much difference to me really. I'm happy right now with the 89 tune but when gas goes back down i'll probably run the tow or 91 tune. Seemed like the jeep didn't struggle as much with those tunes.

I use the tow setting since I tow an aframe trailer. I have calibrated the tires, changed the gear ratio, lowered the tire pressure warning, and turned the fan on a little sooner. ( The tow setting also lowers the fan on temp. )

I'm very please with the performance!

Default Tune

I also use the tow tune. It seems to help with my slightly larger tires to not shift out of overdrive so much. (automatic)

Have been running the 87 tune for months, but decided to try the 91 "performance" tune out. Nobody sells freaking 91 gas near me, so I'm trying the 93 for awhile.

It's about $6/fillup extra to go with 93 over 91. I was curious to see if it'd help with the mileage any.

I was running the tow tune since dragging a tent trailer through the mountains this past summer, but just switched back to the 87 tune. I have an auto, and the shift points are deff. higher and firmer with the tow tune, I seem to be getting a little better fuel economy with the 87 tune, so I will be running that for a while.
