Default Superchips idle adjustment question

Just got my Flashpaq for xmas and installed the 87 octane performance program. or (Should I have gone to the 91 Octane instead?)

Has anyone used the idle adjustment program. I have an 09 Unlimited with the 6 speed manual tranny and hate that the idle is set at the factory at approx 600 rpms. Has anyone raised the idle on their 6 speed to make crawling out using just the clutch a little easier?.

Also, I just put 5 new wheels and tires on my jeep WITHOUT NEW TPMS and so far I have not had the tpms light or chime come on. I was going to disengage the TPMS with the Flashpaq but have not done so because it has not gone off since changing the wheels and tires.

Any info regarding what guys are doing with the idle is greatly appreciated.

Can't really help with the idle adjust (haven't tried it yet) or TPMS (don't have them on my '07). But I would definetely recommend you try running 91 octane gas with the 91 tune. I think it made quite a bit of difference over the 89 tune on mine.

The idle requires the Flashpaq to be connected and you set idle speed interactively up to 1600 RPM.
Idle goes back to normal when you disconnect the Flashpaq.

I believe the Flashpaq only allows you to lower the TPMS threshold, not disable it. Run a search this has been discussed. I used the Procal for this function since I own both.

I also recommend the 91 octane tune for normal driving. If crawling is of concern try the Crawling Tune when off road.

Your TPMS will come on, it's just a matter of time. You can turn it off with the tuner once it does. Next time you fill up try 91 and see what you think. Don't forget that you can update the tuner on line. You might have to, to get the TPMS shutoff capability if it isn't already loaded.

I'd like to be able to bump the idle a couple hundred rpm as well, and running around town with a brief test with the Flashpaq plugged in it was great. Just not a reality for me to have it plugged in all the time and I put in a request to have a full time idle adjustment (also really need it for my Dodge Ram with an under-drive damper).

I thought I read that the Flashpaq will *not shut off* the TPMS.

Here is the thread:

Superchips releases TPMS adjust options for JK models

https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/sponsoring-manufacturers-vendors-check-out-cyber-monday-specials-24/superchips-releases-tpms-adjust-options-jk-models-96818/

Which contains the following statement, which unfortunately makes sense:

"While this option allows adjustable parameters to the TPMS, Superchips is prevented, by law, from offering an on/off option per TREAD & FMVSS135 of the Tread Act."

There is an option to turn TPMS off via an internet update. I haven't had need for it as I have a 2007, but is assuredly there with some sort of disclaimer attached.

That was true before, btu they have since released an update to allow you to complete disable it, of course for "off-road purposes only"
