Default Superchips Question

When I plug the Superchips into my Jeep I get the 93 performance, 91 performance, towing, 87 octane, mileage xs, and a couple others I think.

My question is in the manual that came with the Superchips there is an 87 octane tune and an 87 performance tune. Where is my 87 performance?

How long ago did you install the tune? Understand that it takes awhile for the computer to learn about the new tune...

The 3875 Flashpaq is used on non-JK's also. The booklet covers all available options, whether the JK can use them or not. So that one could be for some other version of jeep.

Hmmm, well you must have some sort of factory freak then because 18mpg on 37's with a 4" lift seems pretty high. I don't even get that with stock tires and a 2.5" lift with superchips

No....it's not a factory freak. We've found here that mpgs differ greatly from jeep to jeep....even totally stock. It seems that darn near every jk has it's own personality as to how it likes its gas. In good weather, (meaning warm weather) I get over 20 mpg with my 2 door auto, w/ 33s, cai, and Flashpaq.

Lol, I have a superchips on my '09 bone stock rubicon. I got 14-16mpg without it and the stock filter. With the superchips and a drop in k&n running the 87 octane tune I get......14-16mpg....shift points are much better though.

See the thing that confuses me is that the 87 octane tune is to allow vehicles that are supposed to run premium run 87. And the 87 performance is for getting more hp, torque, etc.

Why would we even have the 87 octane tune available to us JK owners when we are recommended to run 87?
