Default are superchips worth the money?

i have a 2014 - sport sku with 3.21 gears standard shift. I recently put some 285x75x17 tire on it - and man is it a dog now. If i have the AC on and try to go up a hill on the highway - forget about it, i have to drop down to 4th. I don't quite have the cash to re-gear right now, but i see some people say wither a flashpaq they didn't need to re-gear. So what do you guys think? Amazon has the 3874 for $311 right now. Is it worth it?

The superchips will not solve this problem, so no- not worth the money. I bought mine for other reasons and it's worth the price I paid.

Adjust the speedo, turn off the TPMS, and read codes- I've had the vehicle for 6 years so the code reading piece has been quite beneficial. Tpms is just more of an irritant and adjusting the speedo is necessary for me because it came on 29's and I've run everything up to a 37.....and tires typically only last a year with me before I go to a new size.

Find a dyno chart and take a look. Down in the rpm range most of us generally use, you might be getting 6 or 8 HP? And that is running an aggressive tune and paying for premium gas every single tank. You might 'feel' the little bit of added hp, but worth it?

Opinions vary, but I think that any hp/tq gain is a bonus, you buy these things for all of the other features.

They do nothing at all for power.

Whatever gains you get, are not going to change the lack of mechanical leverage you need in your diff final drive ratio, to move the new tires., If anything, the best thing you can do is to correct the tire size in the calibration (assuming you have an auto trans), and you don't need to buy the full canned tune handheld to do that, Flashcal will do.

Nothing will do as good as changing the gears.

But both are nice.

Even with a re-gear/superchips, your jeep will still feel like a tank after a while. Only thing that will help is forced induction or more cylinders
