Default Superchips XS mileage tune

Anyone done the XS mileage tune? I was curious of the results. This is the tune I plan on running until I get rid of my stock wheels and tires. I figure that I can live with the power I have now but once my jeep finally starts looking like a jeep, I'll need the power from the SC tuner.

I was living in Youngsville NC (just north of Wake Forest) and got a job in VA (Dahlgren, VA). I was staying in a hotel for about 4.5 months and driving back and forth every weekend. Before getting my 33" tires I made the 201 mile drive with 1/2 tank. After i got the tires on it took me 3/4 tank, consistently, probably 15-20 times. I recently moved up to VA (Fredericksburg), and just went back to visit. I loaded my Mileage XS Save tune (first time it gave me a trans light on the dash, second time it was fine). I noticed right away that it was running very rough. I drove 195 miles (6mi less), and it took me between 1/16 and 1/32 of a tank less. so over all, rougher running, less power and on the way back i had the 87octane tune loaded and it took me 3/4 of a tank, so barely any difference. not worth it.

As my octane/tune goes up, so does my gas mileage. The only time the Mileage XS works for me is against the regular 87 tune. Worst case scenario and it costs me an additional $2 to travel 300 miles. When fuel is above $3 a gallon, I'm saving money by paying the additional 20¢ for premium.

The only caveat for me would be the winter months where I don't have a need for the extra power and it takes a lot longer to get up to operating temperatures.

Thanks for the replies. I'll be using this tune until spring. Then upgrade to the 91 tune.
