Default Superior 5.13 gear ratio install problems HELP Please.

Hi all.

I have heard a few problems installing new gear ratios on the forum but decided to post another.

I had the my gears and overhaul kits for my Unlimited X ( Sports in Oz ) shipped to Australia by Quadratec who have been great with all my orders in regards to customer service and delivery .

I received the gears and go to my local ARB supplier who will be doing the install of the new gears and lockers. The guys took the rear diff apart and spent 3 days trying to get them right. No satisfactory results as yet..

Any advice would be greatly appreciated..

Those who have done an install with 5.13s R&Ps on an Unlimited X could you let me know if your mechanic encountered any problems installing the gears
how long your mechanic took to install. Any tips on making it easier for my mechanic would be greatly appreciated..
He has told me that the DANA 30 and DANA 44 in the JK are very different to the older DANAs.

the rear should be straight-forward. the front needs a new carrier, but not the same as a typical D30.

Default Gears

I am going thru the same install problems. I have talked with Superior today and there is definetely a special way to install the gears in a JK dana 44. Nothing that your installers can't do, just a few tricks to know. I was told that the gears should not be any noiser or loose than a stock set. If you have problems call Joel to get more tech support on the install.

Thanks for the advice.

I have spoken with Joel and he will forward my details on to Mike Jr from Superior to find out what my guy is doing wrong .
Anyone else care to comment what they have encountered?
Thanks.
