Superior front axle shafts........help
Here's the deal, I bought a d44 that was missing the front axle shafts. It had new gears, ball-joints and seals. So I ordered some superior inner and outer shafts. Two days after installing the superior axle shafts the seals start to leak, no problem. I just bought some new seals from the dealership.
Well needless to say 5 days after installing the new seals they start to leak again.
Could their be something else causing this problem like the ball-joints?

The JK D44 axle seals just plain suck.
The most likely cause for a leak is (obviously) the seals....and the most likely cause for failure in a new seal is if they were damaged when inserting the shafts.
When I had my truss installed, I also had the fab shop throw in a set of RCV's and change the axle seals (one was leaking at the time). Shortly after I picked up my Jeep, the axle started leaking out of the tube on the driver's side...pretty clear-cut case of the axle seal leaking. Back to the shop it went, and a new set of seals went in. Luckily for me, the shop owner stands behind his work, and I paid what he originally quoted me for the work.

Not sure why they machined them a little smaller. Seems weird to me.
