Default Superlift SS montube gas shocks by Bilstein

Has anyone ran these Superlift Select Series (SS) montube gas shocks by Bilstein? I was trying to figure out if they're worth the extra money. I've got the Superide hydraulic shocks and they're not bad.

If they're the same Bilstine shocks that Rubicon Express is selling with their kits, I hear they are specifically made for the JK and are sweet.

Yeah, I figured they were the same ones that RE had through Bilstein. I will pick up a set and let you guys know how they ride. I'm sure you can order them directly from Superlift or 4wheeldrive hardware. 4wd.com

Called Superlift and they said they're "about" $100 a piece but not to quote them on that as I would have to go through a dealer. I'm still waiting on the call back from my local Superlift dealer. As a side note, the difference in price from the 4" kit with Superide shocks and the 4" kit with (SS) Bilstein shocks is $504 @ 4wd.com

I have them and they are great! Just one thing my Lotuses have in common with the Jeep...4 wheels and Bilsteins! I did just have my passenger rear shock break while on the trail. Was replaced with no questions asked. Good thing as I did nothing, in my mind, to cause the failure. They look cool too!

So I guess that's the only Superlift shock you've run on your JK so you couldn't compare the Bilsteins to the Superide shocks?

What about the ssr remote resevoir shocks, are they made by bilstein too. Is it worth stepping up to these instead of the ss shocks.

I'm not sure if the reservoirs are made by Bilstein. I've always heard that you don't really need reservoirs unless you do alot of desert runner type wheeling where the shock discharges faster than it can catch up. I'm no shock expert though. Just going by what I've heard and what the tech said at my local Superlift dealer.
