Default Suspenison tips...?

I have a 2008 4 door jk with a 3" bds lift. Everything as been great since i installed about a year ago. Want to go higher with out changing kit. I know i could go body but 1" isnt enough. How does a 2" body look?

Other idea i had was to add 1.5" or 2" spacers in springs and change shocks to fit. Can that be done?

need some feedback.

2" BL would look a little funny IMO. I guess it depends what bumpers you're running.

You can add the coil spacers and replace the shocks, but you will likely have to upgrade some things(driveshafts, longer brakelines(?), swaybar links...)

No the control arm and rest of jeep is stock. IF i do add spacer and new shocks and have a total of 5" will that put any extra stress on the present kit?

ON any 5" is is customary to have to change driveshafts and brake lines and so forth?

I also would ask this.

If you go any higher you're going to need driveshafts, control arms, track bars, etc. to get your angles and alignments right.

I personally am not in favor of any body lift at all, but I had to, I wouldn't do more than 1 inch. Your body will lift, but your bumpers will not, and it looks odd.

If you do have adjustable control arms and track bars, and don't want to change springs, then spacers and shocks is probably your best route.

Yep, you can add spacers on top. But, you'll need to adjust the caster, re-center the axles, add longer brake lines, more bumpstop, longer shocks, longer links, new driveshafts. Or just sell it and look at a new lift. (the TF 4" coils will put you in the 5-6" lift range...)

Which transmission do you have? Saw a post earlier suggesting you shouldn't go over a 1" body lift on an auto, but can go higher on a manual. (or maybe it was the other way around?)

higher body lift for automatics.

You do not want to go bigger than 3" with stock control arms... Plus you will need an adj track bar, new brake line extensions etc. body lift would be your best option

Browse the FAQ's also, when you get a chance. It'll help a bit when you start looking at new kits.

This section, in particular:
"Q: What are all the components that I will need with a 4" lift?"

Another option would be to just chop your fenders. Plenty of threads showing how to do it. (or go to flats...)
