Default Suspension??

Hello from Texas. I'm brand new to this forum thing but it looks pretty cool. Anyway, I have a 2011 Rubicon Unlimited that I purchased new in Feb of 2011. It is bone stock and has done two Jeep Jamborees and did pretty well. Problem was I kept getting hung up going over the steep hills. So upon getting back home my Dad took me to see his off-road guy. He is sugesting a 4.5 inch BDS suspension lift which of course is not cheap. He told me to get the clearance and articulation I want then this is what I need. And go with 35 or 37inch tires. I'm posting this to ask what thoughts anyone has on this. I'm pretty new to this stuff and this is my first Jeep. Thanks.

Plan on a new front driveshaft for sure as yours will contact your tranny pan when flexed. Also if you go 37s axle gussets and sleeves and chromoly axles would be highly recommended. You will also need to regear once it drives you crazy with the downshifting on hills. New rear bumper and tire carrier for the spare tire weight.
