Default Suspension comparisons

Hey all,

I'm looking to update my suspension from stock and get a bit of a lift (no more than 3") in the near future. Anyone have any recommendations for an upgrade on a budget or is there already a thread that covers this??

Will you be running a 35" or smaller tire?

Check the stickies at the top of the section.... This is a "must read"

You might also want to take advantage of the "Search" function... there are countless threads on this topic.

Open yourself a cold one & enjoy the read

On a budget, with zero information about your actual use or expectations, I'll vote for a cheap 2-2.5" budget boost. A spacer is pretty much a spacer, so compare the added components to see which is right for you.

yep! If you just want to "look cool" and not do any hard wheeling, go with a BB. Think mild over landing use. If you are needing more articulation, wheels and tires (35's) and a DD, go with a lift and mind the additional necessities. But you really need to identify your intended use, then your budget. Quality of components vary, but you can get the same set up with a variable price point as well.

Need more info to help you bro

LDK59, that is a great link. I wish I would have seen that a few years ago, but trial and error make an experienced wheeler.

I do some moderate wheeling around the Phx area. Nothing more than a blue trail. I'd like to get to Moab for the next EJS. I'm looking for something dependable that still gives a decent road ride, function well off-road & wouldn't break the bank. I figure my budget is around 700-1000.

Thanks for your help.
