Suspension Kits
Hello! SBULLET new to the Forum! I know you guys get tired of all the newbies asking the same old questions. Been reading up on all the great info here and after 3 months of research I am finally going to pull the trigger on a lift kit. I dont know if I should just do a full flex arm system, partial or start with coil kit and see how that goes. Just confused
Want to do it right the first time!! Will not be doing extreme trail riding. Need your opinion?
1. TF 2.5 Coil Kit with Bilstens & 295X70X18
2. Full Traction 3" premium Flex kit with bilstens & 295X70X18
3. RE 3.5" Super Flex with RE Monotube with 35X12.5X18
Thanks

how about you just save your money and buy my old, full traction kit since im putting on the 3.5 rock krawler triple threat with 37. no but really dont skimp out with a BB. and stay away from full traction!!!!
i have had my full traction kit on for a little over a year and i have replaced 3 bushings it is noisy as hell no matter how much lube you use and the contol arms are not adjustable, (at least mine are not). dude you cant go wrong with rock krawler or teraflex!! thats just my thoughts.
From what I've seen and hear FT is pretty good?
Anyone else have an opinion on this?
I've never heard anyone complain about their FT kits, so I'd like to hear from anyone that's had issues with theirs? Should be interesting

theres lots of guys with issues about their full traction kits. The bushings are crap in most cases. Lots of times they need to be replaced. We replaced a set on a friends jeep this past fall. They were shot to hell and the threads on one of his lower control arms got stripped and fell apart. We had to weld that control arm in place.
Ya, I've always been wondering about their bushings.
Good to hear these things

I have your option 3 on my rig and am very pleased, i went with RE because I knew several guys with jk's and the ones with the RE kits seemed to be the happiest over all. Suspension is a very key part of your jeep, on and offroad. So get the best you can right up front, even if that means postponing other upgrades a bit. i delayed the rims and tires because I wanted to do the suspension right the first time, instead of halfway knowing I would have to upgrade later....not that i might not ever upgrade but i wont need to upgrade.
I went with the TF 2.5 coil along with the TF shocks. Its an awesome lift. I haven't been able to wheel it yet because of the snow, so not sure on the flex, but the ride is great.
My TJ has a RE Super flex and that kit has some crazy articulation, I don't know if its the same for the JK. I would have probably went with RE only 3.5" was too much for what I need.

So what's the real advantage in doing a full coil lift instead of a BB. I understand the difference between a BB and a body spacer lift, but I haven't gotten a real clear understanding of the disadvantage of the Budget Boost.
Is it that it restricts your flexing compared to the full coil lift? If so, does it reduce the flex from stock?

What is so bad on this kit?
