suspension lift
I have a 2008 jeep wrangler jk unlimited 4 door. I have already put a one inch body lift on it. But I want a bigger lift. Im looking for about a 2 1/2 inch lift. Which lift should I get? I've seen a lot of different lifts on quadratec. Whats the difference on them all? And which is best?
It's hard to say what is 'Best'.. You can get a 2.5" suspension lift from $300 to $4000... It really depends how you drive, where you drive, terrain, how often, and your budget?

Before you pick a lift, you need to decide on a few things. Are you going to wheel, and if so, what kind of terrain? Are you planning on bigger tires, if so what size? Spacer kits and moderate lifts are great for getting that "look", and if that is all you are looking for, then it should be fairly inexpensive to accomplish. If you plan on serious wheeling and large tires, then you will want/need a kit that allows for more articulation. That's about all I can offer at the moment for such a general question. Good luck, and read some of the other threads regarding lift sizes, tires, and applications.
It would still be an every day driver. But I will still like to go off roading when I want. It won't be too often. I live in Wisconsin. So there's a lot of mud and clay where i would be off roading on. Also, after the lift, will I have to buy a stick extension for the manual transmission?
as far as the lift.. options are almost limit-less.. but if you do a suspension lift.. NO extension is needed for your stick... if anything.. you'd already need one with the body lift.. the suspension lift doesn't affect the gap in between your body and drivetrain like a body lift does.. hence the name "body lift"

I wanted to get 35" tires. I think i have 33" on now that I wanted to paint (if anybody knows how to paint the stock wheels) and use those for winter tires. It will be an every day driver. But I'd still like it to be able to perform in the mud and clay of Wisconsin.

As for painting the stock wheels, scuff em up with 3M stripping pad/ sand paper, clean thoroughly and spray away! I don't mess with tape or index cards on the tire. It will flake off the rubber on its own. I've had good success using Duplicolor engine enamel in either low or semi gloss
