Default Suspension Lift Question!

I was sitting here thinking today and I was curious what I would need to go to a 2.5 coil lift if I already have a 2" BB with longer shocks? Could I just swap coils basically is my question and if not what else would I need to complete the switch? My plan is to drop back to 33's from 35's and pick up some extra flex. (before everyone gives me the don't go back to 33's speech, I've already made up my mind for the most part, for one I can get duratracs in 33x12.50x15, secondly tires are cheaper, there is a much better chance of not breaking something in my front end, and lastly it eats up a little less gas) Thanks for your input!!

Your list of reasons to go with 33's sounds stout to me. I did the same on an older CJ I had. Exact same reasons too.

You could play with upgrading to JKU coils if you have a JK. Guys here post about all sorts of lift they have gotten doing that. I am in that process myself...

A 2.5" coil lift is a good solid option too. Sell the BB spacers you have to recoup some money.

It is my understanding that if you already have the bumpstops in place from your BB, they will work with a coil lift too. Maybe try OME coils?

Lots of options.

I was thinking the same thing, I have bumpstops already and I'm not quite sure that the jku coils would give me enough since I want to get rid of the spacers. Thanks for the input, I'm going to do some more research on what come with common 2.5 kits, the thing is I have seen them with just coils all the way up to trac bars and lca's so who knows haha

We feel a track bar is a must in a quality 2.5" coil lift to get the axle square under the vehicle so it does not dog track. A simple relocation bracket will suffice in the rear.

The options of adding some sort of correction to the front caster with either control arms or relocation brackets are nice, but not a must. The vehicle will just be a little lighter than it was in caster from the factory....

The above are just our opinion. If you have any questions on our products, feel free to give us a shout.
