Suspension NEWB, have some questions
Hi All,
So I'm thinking about upgrading my Sahara suspension to the Rubicon suspension. My question is... the rubicon suspension has new shocks and springs (given), but then also control arms and track bar?
My questions:
1. What exactly are the functionality of these?
2. Doesn't my sahara have control arms and track bar already? Or are these just more heavy duty
My plan is to install TF leveling kit plus the rubi shocks and springs, but if i'm already installing these, why not do the control arms too since i'll already be working on it AND most take offs have these included.
As always, much appreciated.
Anthony

the rubicon shocks are stiffer than your shocks and both the on road and off road ride will be more stiff.
there is no difference in the hard parts as you asked between a rubicon, sport, sahara ect.

You need to compare numbers of your springs before making the jump. I"ve replaced my 14/55's with 18/59's and noticed a difference. I also replaced my sport shocks with rubi shocks and in process of adding TF leveling kit like you.

I've been very happy with my set up. Just regretted not putting on leveling at same time. Don't forget to check your springs before you buy. The 18/59's or 19/60's can be had for around $100!

Thanks! Did you install yourself? I found some pretty detailed write ups online and i think i have all the tools needed to install. Yeah i've been searching the forums and 18/59s have been circulating for less than $100, I'm assuming you meant used, but if new they are that much, what site?

Eddie also has an write up for alignment. I did not do had shop do that because I had purchased a 6 month alignment package. Check Project-Jk for all the writeups.
