Default suspension question...

Hi had a question about suspensions, I have 2014 wrangler sport 2 door and I have a a chance to acquire a 2014 rubicon unlimited 2 door shocks and springs and wonder if there is anything else that I might need or can I just put new springs and shocks on without anything else? here is what I am going to put on my jeep:
(2) Mopar Rear Heavy Duty Shocks - Labeled: 188AC OE 17227 Part Number: 05168188AC

(2) Mopar Front Heavy Duty Shocks - Labeled: 186AC OE 17226 Part Number: 05168186AC

(2) Mopar Front Coil Springs Part Number: 52126318AC

(2) Mopar Rear Coil Springs Part Number: 68004460AA

You can swap them right in....but before you go to the trouble check the spring numbers on your current setup.

You listed the following part numbers:

52126318AC and 68004460AA

The 18 and the 60 numbers are what you want to compare against your current springs. The higher the number the stiffer the spring.

To my knowledge 19 and 60 are the stiffest springs available.

So is the 2014 rubicon an unlimited or a two door? It can't be both. If it is not an unlimited hard top with tow package and you have a base soft it really won't make much of a difference. A small spacer lift would likely be better for you if you are looking at a slight increase in height.

The actual difference in height you receive will dictate what other components you would need and I doubt you would really need anything else.

My stock spring #'s are 14 and 55 so I believe that I would get a small increase in lift if I went with rubicon springs and shocks. Am planning on going to 33's max tire size later on. Will not being doing any real hard core off roading but plan on attending some Jeep Jamboree's in the future, I live in NE Ohio and there is not a lot of places to go here. The shocks and springs are on ebay but if $$ goes too high I will just get an aftermarket lift probably 2-2.5" kit.

I'd go with an aftermarket kit regardless if it were my money. You're paying money to go from stock to another stock setup. Total waste off money but that's my opinion.

With the 18/60 springs you will get a noticeable lift and the handling will improve.

I ran 33's on 18/58 springs with a Teraflex leveling kit for a couple years and it did pretty good for what it was.
