Suspension theory help
***I need someone to double check my thoughts please***
Lets start by telling you I have a 2008 Rubicon Unlimited (auto disconnect).
OK, I did a 2" BD BB and added the BD 2" A/T shocks. I intend to put my rear swaybar links on the front, and add a +2" set to the rear.
I know wheel travel is limited by the shocks and swaybar links. I also know that factory limit is determined by shocks.
Since I do not have the sway bar links installed yet, and I have the +2" shocks already installed, I am now limited by the sway bar length.
So, question #1: Can I harm my unit if I wheel while being limited by the sway bar links?
Question #2: After I install the rears up front and the +2" in the rear, should I be back to a stock set-up (limited by shocks)?
I of course intend to disconnect when wheeling anything over a speedbump.
Just need to double check the way I'm looking at this, as thinking about it has made me crosseyed.....

no, no harm will come of your sway bar disco motor and your links won't limit you as much as you think. however, you do run the risk of over extending your short links and they can flop forward. if this happens, they will get caught up in your tie-rod and get bent.
yes.
yes.

Just kidding...As long as you put the longer links on you should be fine. Good luck.

that should be fun and i have seen a few around that can be had for about $5k. if you can, you might want to try and get the 98 as the 97's had a lot of issues. but, so long as the owner of it took care of all the recalls/tsb's, you should be good with it as well.
