swaping rear D44 axles

Question swaping rear D44 axles

sorry if this has been covered before but ive tried searching and cant find what im looking for. i got in a accident last night and tweaked my passenger rear axle a little so i order a new set of the superior axles from quadratec. my question is other than having the bearings pressed is there anything special i need to do to replace my stock axle shafts. thanks in advance

You will also need to swap the "Tone Ring" from the factory axles to the new axles. (I dont believe Superior supplies them)

is that located before or after the bearings, ive never taken the axles out before.

The tone ring goes before the bearing.

nope they dont, Atleast mine didnt come with any.

look at the axle before you take it apart
