Swapping later model shifter into early jk
I am going to swap the shifter in my 08 automatic with either a shifter assembly from a 2011 or could I use a shifter assembly from a dodge nitro/liberty? I like the nitro/liberty more because of the chrome trim on the shift plate. I am also swapping consoles to a 2011. If you have swapped one with the nitro/liberty let me know if it's a direct install with the new console or are there any mods, thanks

You can keep your shifter and just use the console..I did that on my '07
I have a 2011 shifter that I removed from my JK..I went to a '12 tapshift one for my LS swap.
