Default Swapping s rubi transfer case into a x

I'm pretty sure this swap is straight forward, but are there any items I should upgrade on the case before installing it?

I assume you have already ensured its swapping from an automatic to an automatic or manual to manual?

Do you already have the t-case? Since yours is an auto, the Rubi-crawler range box is a pretty nifty idea.

You should look into installing the teraflex 2lo in to the transfer case before you install it.

I would second this idea. Great for when you are on the pavement and need that extra low gearing, but don't want to accidentally break a front axle shaft ( know too many people at boat ramps that this has happened to by putting their Jeep in 4LO to pull boat up ramp.)

I do not have the rubi case yet. Will be picking it up Saturday. I like the rubi-crawler. But didn't like the gearing choices you get with the x case. Since the rubi-crawler low and my current low are both 2.72:1. I was thinking about adding a rubi-crawler after the rubi case and after ditching the dana 30.

I'm not going to install the 2-lo kit. Simply because my long term plans are to add the rubi-crawler. I would then have a 2.72:1 2-lo.

You do realize your crawl ratio will be ridiculously low with a rubi case and a rubi crawler range box? 2.72x4.1x whatever your gear ratio will be. And with a Rubi-crawler will have a lower low range than a standard Rubicon t-case.

You don't have to have the super low combo ratio. You can pick and choose.

Rubi 4.1 only
Rubi 4.1 x crawler 2.72
Crawler 2.72 only

Crawler can be used in 2wd and 4wd.

So, you get the best of both worlds with the added SUPER low of having about a 10.xx low when everything is engaged.
