I recently bought a 2011 Wrangler Sport 4-door and I am finally looking to get new tires as my first mod but I've ran into an issue that I could use everyone's expertise in.

For a few weeks I have been set on getting Goodyear Duratracs 265/75R16 and use them with the stock wheels... But recently my wife's daily driver died and she needed a new vehicle; she really liked the jeep compass (used 2007) so that is her DD now. This is where my problem comes into play.

Those tires for her compass suck beyond belief in the snow and she wants new tires which sparked an idea that I'm not sure if i can do.

I would like to put my stock wrangler wheel and tires onto her compass, then take her wheels and put new duratracs onto those for my wrangler. Her wheels are 18" (not sure on width) but look very similar to the stock sahara wheels.

The only problem I could see is if they had different bolt patterns but the only thing I found was on a site called streetdreams... it said the wrangler bolt pattern was 5x127 and the compass was 5x114.3

--Are those bolt patterns correct and does my idea have any chance of working?


With 2 vehicle loans out now, I would prefer to not purchase new tires for both vehicles if I don't have to.

 

The wrangler is 5x5, the compass is 5x4.5. They will not fit without wheel spacer/adapters. Also, I would think that your JK tires would be too big for the compass without a lift.

 

Was worth a thought though. I also just realized that even if my wheels and tires fit the compass, the 5th would not fit where her spare is since the compass comes with a small donut instead of a full size spare...

That also means only 4 nice 18" wheels... guess I'm scratching this idea.
