Default sway bar angle

installed some JKS quick discos yesterday. used the stock links to measure eye to eye for the discos. Noticed afterward that my sway bar has never really been +\- .5 degrees. I've never had issues with my sway bar being at this angle. Any reason i should change it?

When parked on a flat surface, it should be slightly above horizontal. I'd say yours is just about perfect.

I think you are fine that way vs the other way. I have seen photos of people whose links were not long enough and under extreme articulation the sway bar flipped causing problems so better a little long then short.

It works better, if it's close to level, but if it's not contacting anything, I wouldn't worry too much.
How much lift, if any are you running? I'm at 2" in front(spacers) and pretty much have mine adjusted all the way in, and I'm very close to level, just barely upturned. Mine are the 2.5-6" links.....

If you are links are not long enough they will limit your down travel. When that happens you are getting into a situation where the sway bar could flip and then bind, bend or brake something.
The length of the link and your down travel are the key, not the angle of the sway bar arm. Cycle your suspension to see that the links are long enough.
It looks like your suspension is nearly stock, so you should be fine.

i plan to disco offroad from now on. i was more concerned about street driving, but the angle the sway bat is at now seems to be a non issue.

and you're right. currently only running the 2.5" TF BB
