Now that i have coil-overs on the front is my sway bar really needed ? Driving it feels like i could take it off and chuck it.

You still need the sway bar for on-road driving. We too love the new ride of the coil overs but I don't think it would be a good idea to remove it all together. Just my

You would be in for a scary surprise if you drove at higher speeds without a sway bar. Coil's don't offer any side to side regidity like leaf springs do. I have a 6" lift on my J10 (leaf springs) with no sway bar and it has very little body lean. My JK with its sway bar disconnected has scary amounts od body lean at speeds of 25. Much less freeway driving.

Yes you need them. You can disconnect your sway bars for off-road slow crawling but for on-road they are a necessity. Removal of a sway bar has caused at least one forum member to roll his JK.

Yes keep your sway bar......but I say upgrade the thing.....like I did, Currie Antirock...never have to get out and disconnect again, nor rely on the crappy E-Disco.....

Froma street performance stand point though thats a down-grade. As it is less stiff than stock. The Tera-Flex S/T sway bar is stiffer than stock. Which you technically need to retain the stock handling with a lift. As with the higher center of gravity you need more resistance to prevent body lean.

I am not saying the anti-rock isnt a good product. Just that if you want better street handling, its not the way to go.

yes, I agree, but I can say that it really isn't that bad at all, I only brought it up as an option for people searching for something as such.....I totally love mine, and I haven't changed my driving style at all...the body lean is minimal at most while hwy driving....when my E-disco crapped out, I drove around for a couple months completely disconnected (dont recommend this) when I put the anti-rock in, it felt completely (95%) better, and I totally love it.....if anyone has a chance to test drive a rig with it, I totally suggest it......or if anyone is close to me, I'll gladly demo it for ya....

Since buddy here has coilovers, his rig is fairly modded, thus this option might be for him.....it not quite as good as stock when hooked up, but the firmness is not that far off...and since he was even considering running without one completely......

Removing the sway bar will provide very poor handling in the form of a lot of roll in every turn. Install the quick or e-ediscos but do not remove it.

Also changing the diameter/stiffness of your sway bars will change the understeer/oversteer of your JK which can lead to either very slugish handling or unexpected handling depending on which one you change.
