Question Sway bar disconnected?

Hi Guys. I was playing around today trying to figure out how this JK thing works. Having fun learning though. Does it look like the sway bar is disconnected in this photo? The red "Sway Bar" light was on and not flashing. Thanks...jim

Well if your axle is hitting the bumpstop then yeah from how much my old TJ flexed when disco'd I would say it's not disconnected.

Mine (Rubi Unlimited with TF BB) looks just like the JimmyDutch's pic when the sway bar is disconnected (sway bar light is on). It doesn't look much of flex, and I was wondering the same thing... Any close up pic of electric sway bar disconnected anyone?

Well when the sway bars disconected the only thing that will stop your flex is you axle/frame bumpstops. Next time your out and you hit a big rock have a buddy take a look in the spring perch and see if the bumps are making contact. Or if your board use a fork lift.

Thanks dougolupski! Well, if I think about it, I didn't go over that big rock (I thought it was big but... I'm newbie). So it was hard to tell. I need to try bigger rocks next time.

I'll check next time go to off-road (this weekend).

Based on the stock rubicons I've seen disco'ed, yours does not look like it is really discoed. I'm used to seeing the high side stuff into the wheel well more than that. Did your lift include springs? Maybe they are stiffer than stock ?

Hey Guys, Thanks for the responses. Yes it has a new FT 3" lift with new springs. It does not look like it, but the rock is nearly 2 1/2 to 3 feet high. I think it may be the new springs limiting the flex.
